Ok - i've read that you go back out to the courtyard via the pool room after you place the third bomb , I then go up the same drain pipe that I originally went up but after that I have no idea what to do.

any help would be appreciated

Hey man,

After you get to the second level overlooking the courtyard, there is a hole in the hand rails that will lead to a vine covered lattice. You will need to crouch or roll to get through the hole.Walk onto the vine covered lattice, and onto the balcony with the swinging door (they look like the old western tavern style doors). From there, it should be no problem. I hope this helps!
