As of this time, there is no online play for Dai Senryaku VII. Thanks for the questions.

It looks like that might be postponed, but we are shooting for September. I will update when I have a more concrete date. Thanks for the question.

It looks like it will be pushed back a bit. So 4th Q of 04 is a safe bet! Thanks for the question.

You stated that ONLINE is not available at this time...is it still not slated to be online even though its pushed back? My dreams would be fulfilled if you told me they are pushing it back to make the game ONLINE enabled!
Thanks for the insight...

It was pushed back for some other reasons, however, there is no online planned for Dai Senryaku. Perhaps, with the next version (provided we make one ) we could add Xbox Live. We would have loved to with this game, but it just didnt work out. Thanks for the comments and support!

I doubt there will be a next one... I have feeling this game will bomb in sales lol... who in North America besides a few people are going to buy a Japanese strategy game with Playstation 1 graphics?

Granted this is a niche game for sure. But those gamers who enjoy strategy games generally can look past simplistic graphics to a deep and enjoyable experience, rich in both length and detail. I personally am glad we are bringing this game to market, it is something different and offers well over 100 hours of game play for those who want to try something new. Daisen really has a way of making a player loose track of time. Plus all of the media that has seen the game has given it nothing but a positive response!

I agree with you... its good for the Xbox market as more games on Xbox are always a good thing, and it fills up the genre's that Xbox doesnt have too many games in (like Strategy games)
On the downside it is niche afterall which means even if it does turn out good, most people arent going to play it , or even hear about it for that matter.
Yeah I read a preview of the game over at Gamespot a few days ago... sounds promising. Graphics seems to be its weak spot though.

I think that this game will be a silent hit, especially at the price point. Almost everyone I know enjoys a good strategy game. The Xbox right now doesn't really have anything that comes close. The graghics in most strategy games are never ground breaking and like Adoug mentioned they really don't need to be. They are actually quite good if you compare it to some of the other strategy games, but most importantly the level of detail has improved alot since the version of it that I played, such as the different levels units can be at in relation to the ground. It might be worth noting too that although Dai Senryaku is a Japanese series, that series is actually based on an American PC game. That was stated in the instructions of the Super Famicon version I played before. The name roughly means Big Battle Strategy. I'm just glad that we are getting the option to experience and enjoy a game that has been popular in Japan for over a decade. It' didn't get to version 7 for it's graphics, but for being fun to play.
