Speaking of Harriers, I was playing Battlefield 2 the other day and I noticed they had harriers available. One took off (vertically) right in front of me, then commenced to fly to engage the enemy. It was cool for sure.

They'd better be porting Battlefield 2 over to the 360 in the US like they are in Europe. Cause otherwise I'm getting it for the PC.
I was gonna get it anyway, but Harriers...That's the clencher lol

I'm aware, just one would assume the XBox 360 version would be superior seeing that it has more power. I'm hoping they add in the upcoming expansion as well.

I guess you are right about your assumption, just consider the xbox have already enough capabilities to run a complete port of the PC version.
That means the xbox version could be as good as the PC one. Or at least the developers have all the tech tools they need to make that happen, we´ll see.

What is coming to the Xbox and the PS2 is not Battlefield 2 exactly. It is a game called Battlefield Modern Combat. (pretty much the same thing though, with a few things missing from the PC version). I have to say that I will be buying it, at least the PS2 version. (I have an Xbox, but I prefer the PS2 controls for this game to be honest). I look forward to playing it and have been for some time! Thanks for the heads up, fyi!

I Beta Tested BF:Modern Combat, and I really liked the game back when it was still in Beta and it was certainly in better shape than most games at launch are, so I'm even more excited about the refined version.
As for the consoles, the XBox 360 is slated to get BattleField 2, NOT BF: Modern Combat because it's much more capable. It was announced in Europe (As the Developer is Swedish) already, but not yet here in the US. I'm actually wanting Battlefield 2 over BF: Modern Combat if only for the fact that Battlefield 2 is a better version.

Namely, the graphics on Battlefield 2 are much better and they implement a nice squad based voice chat. Very slick. I'm hoping they implement the feature in BF: Modern Combat, but if not, ah well. Essentially, Battlefield 2 is based on the PC and it's available power, whereas BF: Modern Combat was written for the PS2 and XBox from the ground up.

Plus, I believe the "Commander" issue is different between the two. The PC version having it, and the console version not, but I could be mistaken.

Since I can't say officially, I will "imply" that it wasn't the last time I "checked".
