Of course, how many of these were actually ported to the US?

Just two
World Advanced Daisenryaku Kotetsu no Ikusakaze became Working Designs' Localization entitled Iron Storm. Iron Storm is still one of my all time faves. And of course Daisenryaku VII for XBox.

Bah, only 2? That's some crappy odds if we want to see another port anytime soon.

LMAO, well I just know that the odds aren't in our favor. Our luck may change, but until then, all we have is hope...
...and perhaps a slight drooling problem. Aside from being envious that our gamer bretheren across the ocean are getting more doses of strategy goodness than we are.

Hmm, a subtle hint perhaps?
Yeah, that's a good question. Why IS this on the seventh iteration, even though it's not the seventh release. While I know that some games that are numerous don't always follow numerically all the way through, they don't seem to be numbering them at all.

Not sure, it is just the way System Soft titled it, therefore, we left it as such. I would be willing to bet JVG knows something about it though.

Really???? yeah man¡¡
So reading between lines I can decode the following from your post:
1.- SystemSoft is working on "something"
2.- That "something" has something to do with JVG´s already displayed knowledge on one particular game´s series (we all know which series I´m talking about)
3.- That "something" also has something to do with video game players on this western hemisphere of the planet.
I just need confirmation on number 3, number 1 and 2 seem pretty clear so far

Well,
1. I do know that system soft is working on Dai Sen Exceed for the PS2, however, that is common knowledge.
2. Yes, this does have to do with JVG's knowledge because let face it, they dont call him JVG without a reason.
3. Pure speculation, as I stated before...stay tuned.

2.) JVG is a she.
Wow, that rhymed. However, that was not intentional.

I'm working on explaining the "VII"
It might have something to do with the following factors:
1. Advanced Daisenryaku and Daisenryaku are two different series
2. The era in which the game is set might have something to do with it.
I'm building a more comprehensive chart of console Daisenryakus that will hopefully reveal why SystemSoft numbered this version "7"
