There is always a chance of something...I will announce it here, if and when it happens. Thanks for the support. Twisted Evil

^Oops I forgot to register. Dai S. on the PSP sounds intriguing. I don't know how well it would translate to that portable. The PSP has a nice big screen, but will it be enough? At least the Nintendo DS has the two screens to help out.

I think it could be done well. It just would require the use of some features to easily call up and hide information more easily than the XBox version. Especially the mini map.

I think i may have actually found a reason to buy a PSP... that is IF the game actually makes it to the States. Those Japanese can be so stingy of really kewl games!!! And leave it to the Japanese to create a system which would allow portable porn... tsk, tsk...

Laughing Well, hopefully there is a good chance that it's coming over to the states. Mainly because I'm getting a PSP and I really would like to see more games for it.

Here's the unit list (in Japanese) for Daisenryaku Portable for PSP by Genki.

Remember: PSP games are NOT region protected Smile

http://www.genki.co.jp/games/strategy/wepon.html

Here's one place I know you can trust to send it out as soon as it's released:

Play-Asia: Daisenryaku Portable

Lmao. Laughing

Speaking of which, after getting some good hands on time with the system, and an increase in the amount of good games becoming available, I do believe that I want a PSP too. Though, I'm hoping to price comes down sometime soon. Although I don't think that is going to happen just yet. Confused

Does anyone know if there is a U.S. version planned?? I know they are region-free but I still don't read Japanese. Better than nothing I suppose, but English version would sure help.

I just got a PSP from my father-in-law for my birthday. w00tage. Popolocrois has always been one of my favorite (3) RPGs for the Playstation. Unfortunately they were in Japanese. Being able to play one of the series in English is a real treat.

With any luck I will be able to order Daisenryaku Portable as soon as it's out.

As to getting it here in the states, all we have to do is get enough folks to suggest it to Kemco. It would likely have one hell of a following over here and would no-doubt sell PSPs.

Just a follow-up. Daisenryaku Portable is on it's way from Play-asia. I really had to splurge to get it but we've got my son's holiday's covered so we're good. Anyway, I've already started the faq for the game. Since the game is portable and I'm writing the faq on my laptop it should go fairly quick.

Edit: I've already culled what I can from the screenshots and the official website. The basic faq with no campaign walkthrough should be available within a week of me getting the game. The faq will contain a full translation of all of the menus/windows/options/etc... though Smile

Okay, got the game. So far it's pretty much what I expected. I'll upload version one of the faq--based on screenshots at genki's site--tonight.

EDIT: I uploaded the FAQ to gamefaqs, it should be available later today. I have to say that I love this game. The battle cut-scenes are similar to Iron Storms in that they attempted to capture the "drama" of the attack and counter-attack. Of course those cut-scenes are much faster cause we're in 20XX this time and the units themselves move much faster.

The gameplay is exactly as you'd expect from a 2D console based strategy game. Good stuff all around.

Edit2: It's Dec. 29th and there are still 322 files waiting in the queue at gamefaqs. It's been at that number all day. I suspect the DP FAQ will not be available until tomorrow at the earilest. Progress on will procede nightly until the faq is at least in a reasonable state.
