Hahaha! Nobody fights Zelda off. Lagoon was made in response to the Ys series by Nihon Falcom, if you're paying attention to Action-RPGs.
I agree, though. Lagoon was one of my favorite SNES games, and I'd love to see a remake of it. The one question no one seems able to answer, though, is who owns the rights to it? Seika, the company that developed the game as far as I can tell, no longer exists. This leads me to believe that the rights belong to one individual, the designer of the game, who might be working for another developer or something.

Seika eh? I thought Zoom was mainly responsible for Lagoon.
I'd rather see a remake of Dragon View, personally...
