The company you want to watch, then, is SystemSoft out of Japan. The website of their console gaming group is www.ss-alpha.co.jp though of course it's mostly Japanese. They've had a Daisenryaku on every platform for quite some time now (since the days of the NES/Famicom). They have done networked Daisenryaku on consoles before (the Dreamcast had such a system).
Dai Senryaku VII is the only game in recent Kemco history where everyone talking about the game is pretty much loving it. Daisenryaku's strategy gaming audience is small but it's damn faithful, even to the point of buying a console just to play the games. Kemco would be smart to grab the better Daisenryakus that SystemSoft makes.
A PSP version with a Play By Mail system would sell a PSP to me, for sure. It's going to take SystemSoft to do that though. I'd be happy no matter which handheld they did it on however. I would insist on a PBM system long before a real "Live" version. PBM is the only way to play these kinds of games.
It's hopeful to see SystemSoft port Daisenryaku VII to the PS2 (it's called Daisenryaku VII Exceed and I'm wondering what the hell Exceed means in terms of units, maps, etc...). Even they see the benefit of a more generic, less country-specific game like Advance Wars. Of course, there's always Potential for Advance Wars PBM over one of the newer systems. The company that made that game has been making mostly SRPGs but they've been making them for a long time, almost as long as SS's been making D.
Anyway, food for thought, for sure [/quote]

She's actually talking about the PS2, not the PSP. That wasn't a typo

They wouldn't be much of a publisher if they didn't go next-gen. I suppose they could go portable-only, but something tells me we'll be seeing sweet, sweet Kemco games for the consoles for some time to come.

I thought I already addressed this question, perhaps in a different thread. That question being, "Is Kemco USA going to support the next gen systems?" We are currently not developing any titles for the next gen systems, however, I would think that will change. We are planning on doing DS and PSP work. Keep checking back, I will announce any titles for portable or console here first. Thanks for the question.

LMAO Doug. Sometimes these threads all sound the same after awhile.
