Just picked up Sid Meier's Pirates for the XBox last night. It's nearly a direct port of the PC version. It does support 16:9 (yay) and 480p. I got to put a few hours in last night. I had fun but I did not sense much depth to this game. It feels like a simple, addictive title.
I did not play the PC version but there are some differences, all mostly minor and for the purpose of making it more consolized. The review at IGN does a pretty good job of describing this title.

Thats funny you mention that. My co worker picked it up yesterday as well. I watched him play it for a bit, looked pretty cool and addictive as well.

This sounds like something I might have to go and rent one of these days.
